ENG Aviation prides itself on being a premier Operator for Organ Transportation and Medical Cargo.
In 2023, over 46,000 organ transplants were performed across the U.S. ENG Aviation is proud to play a part in providing air transportation for organ transplantation. We have dedicated crew and aircraft available 24 hours a day to support this life-saving mission.
For organ transplantation, time is of the essence. Depending on the type of organ being transplanted, the organ can only remain out of the body for a few short hours. ENG Aviation enables Transplant Centers to minimize the time the organ is in transit and maximize successful patient outcomes.
Callsign "Cross-Clamp"
"Cross-Clamp" is the term used during organ transplant that indicates the moment the surgeon stops the blood flow to the donor organ(s) for removal. This starts the clock for the amount of time the organ can be out of the body before the organ is transplanted in the recipient and blood flow is restored to the organ.
As part of our commitment to our organ transplant mission, ENG Aviation uses the FAA Callsign "Cross-Clamp," for our fleet aircraft. This callsign represents a unique identifier among other aircraft and displays our unwavering support for the organ transplant community.
We are passionate about serving our transplant customers and want to help spread awareness of the importance of organ donation. You can learn more about organ donation and becoming a donor at www.organdonor.gov or from UNOS, the United Network for Organ Sharing at www.unos.org.
